Dear Readers,

Well Spring is upon us.  A good time to reflect on how, as Gurudev told us, we are all heading toward the light. Spring flowers blossom and stretch towards the light from being buried in the darker months of winter.  We always need dark to show the light, another of Gurudev's teachings.  In this case the dark could be seen as being ignorance of the light and our natural happiness which is always present, as this month's reading by Gurudev tells us.

The Cause of Suffering
“What is the noble truth preached by Lord Buddha? Life is suffering. What is the cause of these miseries? Ignorance. Do you think that by getting name and fame and by acquiring all the material things we can be happy? That is the basic mistake. We run after things, forgetting our own true happiness. Even after knowing that multi-millionaires, people with great power, still suffer from
anxiety, fear and worry, we think that money and power will bring us happiness. How much money or what power can make you happy? Millionaires, prime ministers, presidents, great men and women are not necessarily happy. The most beautiful person or the best athlete is not always happy, because all these things cannot make you happy. You are happiness.

Sangha News-

Many of you know Radha who lovingly organises our Satsangs.  We said good-bye and good-luck to Radha who left Dorset to head to an ashram in Glastonbury to spread her love and service to them for a few months at least, (lucky Glastonbury) - but not far for a visit (I have already been).   

And fond farewells and blessings also to one of our other popular Senior teachers, Reverend Padma who left UK shores to be of service to Portugal.  Lucky Portugal and always a good excuse to visit our Centre there at Quinta Da Calma and see Padma. Padma will still be holding some retreats, see attached file and summary in newsletter.

Never far from our hearts, we wish them both the very best in their lives of service and dedication to love and truth and carrying the blessings of Integral Yoga wherever they travel.

Workshop news for April-

Healing from depression through Yoga and Mindfulness with Heather Mason. Heather is a leading teacher in this field and has had extensive training in psychotherapy, yogatherapy and mindfulness practice.  The workshop will be suitable for all.
